2018 Tentative Dates will be posted in early February

With our dry December, many are starting to pray for rain. For our races, water releases are determined by the interplay of Clear Lake storage levels, and whether we have a warm "dry" spring. The best conditions are an early wet winter, followed by a warm and relatively dry spring.  We'll set a tentative date by early February and then finalize whether the race is a go or no go in early April.

Save the Date 2017 Races are set for May 6-7

With record precipitation and warm weather in the long term forecast, we anticipate great water levels for the Cache Creek Weekend this year.

Please consider joining the fun.  No prior slalom experience is required and there's no special equipment needed other than what you use to paddle now (helmet, pfd, skirt, paddle and boat),

Saturday will be a day for learning and practicing in the slalom gates, doing a fun run down the river, and the down river race which is a sprint from bear creek to the commercial put in about a mile past the campground.

Sunday is the slalom race with classes from novice to expert.

Registration will open on EventBrite on April 1.
