The river is running!

What a difference a year makes.  Clear Lake is almost full.  In anticipation of more rain and continued runoff into the lake, releases have been more than 2000cfs.  These releases are unpredictable and will drop to nothing once the weather cycle turns dry until irrigation season begins in early May.  The current levels are several times the flow we can expect in May for our races and makes the traditional run from Bear Creek to Rumsey full of fun wave trains.  Best to have a good roll and consider it winter paddling because a swim at these levels could be long, and the water quality isn't pristine.  The wilderness run is also in, which provides lots of opportunity for seeing wildlife.

Race registration will begin on April 1!  Don't miss out on camping at the group site, sign up early.
